Abstract

The research paper provides comparative analysis of modern methods of teaching English is carried out. The main methods are revealed: communicative, project, intensive and activity. Based on the analysis of these methods, the means, principles and characteristics inherent in each of them were determined, which must be taken into account by English language teachers when determining an effective teaching methodology.
