Toxicological Review on Kalanchoe Pinnata - A Plant of Significance in Indian Traditional Medicine

Abstract

Kalanchoe pinnata is native from India, belonging to the Crassulaceae family and being widely used by the population as a natural remedy for treating various diseases. Several toxicological research involving various preparations of this plant have been published.Therefore, this review aims to provide an updated overview about the toxicology of K.pinnata.An extensive literature review was conducted in different scientific databases. Several toxicity have been identified in the extract from K.pinnata. The information reported inthis manuscript might contribute to further studies.
